S.A. Foster House and Stable
12147 Harvard Avenue
Chicago, Illinois 60628

Frank Lloyd Wright, 1900

A pre-Prairie Wright residence, included here to show his movement toward the Prairie style. The prominent gabled roof has flared ridgepoles, showing a Japanese influence. Some additions have been made to the house at the rear. The stable formerly included gardener’s quarters and was connected to the house by a trellis.
