Spencer Ewing House “Gray Ledges” John S. Van Bergen, 1920 One of Van Bergen’s most interesting commissions. The house is built of stratified limestone up to the level of the second floor window sills, after which ceramic tile continues up to the eaves. A pool house/shelter built of the same limestone also stands on the property. The thick plantings around the house have the intended effect: it is very difficult to get a view of this house from public property. References |
