Claude & Starck, 1911

Another of Claude & Starck’s Sullivanesque libraries, situated appropriately near the Prairie River. Because of space issues, the Wausau firm of Shavie & Murray provided a respectful addition, shown below, in 1969. Space issues and handicapped access prompted another renovation in 2001 by Frye, Gillan, Molinaro Architects, Ltd. of Chicago at a cost of $3,700,000.
